Battlefield Writers is a collective of authors and poets who meet in the Southside of Glasgow, and who have published three books compiling their work, Tales From The Battlefield, Beyond The Battlefield and Tales From The Southside.

Marco Giannasi transformed a dilapidated former tram halt into the Battlefield Rest, a very popular Italian eatery. He is a co-author of Dining Tales, the remarkable stories behind some of Glasgow’s most iconic restaurants.
